About the Museum of Tolerance - Jerusalem

Dear Friends,

The Center for Human Dignity will be a multi-faceted educational institution, a social laboratory that speaks to the world and confronts today’s important issues – issues like global antisemitism, terrorism and hate. A place that will remind us that greater than any external threat is the internal divide that separates us. A place that will reinforce the idea that Jewish unity is not a slogan, but an essential recipe for survival in the 21st century.

The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is one of the largest educational and cultural projects ever undertaken, one that will become a centerpiece in the city’s cultural life. It is not just another museum about the past, but a unique institution that will focus on issues of human dignity and responsibility and seek to promote unity and respect among Jews and between people of all faiths. It will house two multimedia experiential museums, one for adults and another for children, addressing the themes of tolerance and social responsibility. As part of the Center for Human Dignity, it will have a state-of-the-art multi-lingual International Conference Center and Grand Hall that will attract educators, scholars and leaders from around the world. Its Education Center will offer training programs and seminars given by outstanding teachers, rabbis and experts. Its 500-seat Theater for the Performing Arts will energize and revitalize the city by hosting important films, concerts and town hall meetings. The Museum of Tolerance will be located in the heart of Jerusalem, within walking distance of all the major hotels.

Those who share this vision and become our partners in building the largest cultural project undertaken in Jerusalem in more than forty years should know that they are planting a seed whose roots will be there for our children and grandchildren, from generation to generation.
